On September 8-9, 2016 in Greensboro, North Carolina the National Fabry Disease Foundation (NFDF) will be hosting it’s annual Fabry Family Medical Conference.
An important event for all individuals with Fabry disease and their family members, participants will hear from a geneticist, a nephrologist, a neurologist, and a GI specialist in addition to enjoying community events.
This year, ThinkGenetic co-founder and Emory University Program Leader, Dawn Jacob Laney, MS, CGC, CCRC, will be presenting on Friday, September 9th at 9:20am. The presentation, entitled “Understanding the Fabry Playbook” will discuss how those with Fabry can empower themselves.
In addition, ThinkGenetic CEO, Dave Jacob, will be in attendance, joining in the knowledge sharing and festivities.
The National Fabry Disease Foundation (NFDF) is an organization dedicated to supporting the Fabry disease community. Their five primary functions are assisting with Fabry disease education, facilitating Fabry disease identification to improve Fabry disease recognition and diagnosis, providing various forms of assistance to individuals with Fabry disease, supporting Fabry disease research and promoting advocacy for Fabry disease issues.
