ThinkGenetic is very excited to be a sponsor at the upcoming 2016 Genetic Counseling Fall Symposium in Columbia, South Carolina on November 11, 2016.
Focusing on the needs of genetic counselors, geneticists, university faculty, students, residents, fellows and health care professionals this special event hopes to “build knowledge and skills as we incorporate clinical applications of genomic medicine.” An impressive agenda has been put together ranging in topics from Exome Sequencing for Newborn Screening to Gene Therapy to Ovarian and Breast Cancer.
When asked why supporting the event was so important to ThinkGenetic, Co-Founder Dawn Jacob Laney, MS, CGC, CCRC said, “Genetic counselors are amazing patient advocates and we like to promote educational events, like the USC Fall Symposium, that help genetic counselors reach important resources to continue to learn about new changes in genetic diseases. Also, any opportunity to support the training of new genetic counselors when there’s such a need is important to our mission.”
ThinkGenetic will be there and we hope you will be too. Don’t wait, the 11th is right around the corner! Make sure you submit your registration today at: http://geneticcounseling.med.sc.edu/Fall.Symposium.asp. Also, don’t forget to share the event with others using #USCGCFallSymposium.
We look forward to seeing you there!
