My new children’s book RARE IS EVERYWHERE is a book showcasing genetically rare animals like white tigers, blue lobsters, black jaguars and other amazing creatures to inspire children to embrace differences, and their own rare beauty. Lyrical poems describe the attributes of the featured animals in a positive light, and the book also explains what genes are and how they shape us. RARE IS EVERYWHERE takes children on a journey through the animal kingdom, such that by the end of the book, young readers understand that differences occur in every species, in every habitat, in every corner of the globe – and importantly – in all of us.

Last week, I launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the publication and printing of the book – so that proceeds from future book sales can be donated to an amazing non-profit called the Rare Disease Foundation. If this campaign is successful, the book will serve as an ongoing source of funding for their innovative research and treatment programs, which I have personally seen help many children with rare diseases live longer, healthier lives.
We are almost at the halfway point of the campaign and are about one-third funded, so we really need your help to reach our goal and bring this book to life! Please consider supporting this project by purchasing a book or art print, or making a contribution today at http://kck.st/2e5mj7t
Friends of ThinkGenetic will receive a beautiful 8.5×11 print of the black Jaguar with the purchase of the two-book pack or donation of $55 or greater! Click Here to Contribute
To redeem your gift simply send me a message after you contribute with the Promo Code: THINKGENETIC. This Kickstarter project will only be funded if it reaches its full goal by Wed, Nov 23 2016 2:59 AM EDT.
Thank you very much for your support!
