ThinkGenetic announces its participation at the 2023 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting which is being held in conjunction with the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders Meeting for the first time in Salt Lake City, Utah, this March.
ThinkGenetic participates in important educational events to remain up to date on important research, to continue specialist education, and to meet with key decision-makers to discuss potential partnership opportunities.

The ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting, taking place March 14 – 18, 2023 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. This educational meeting is for medical genetics and focused on the latest developments in medical genetics. In addition to over 50 educational sessions, this annual event is a great opportunity to network with peers and collaborate to find solutions to challenges facing the genetics industry.
The 44th Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD) annual meeting will be held March 18 – March 21, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency. This annual meeting will feature discussions on diagnosis and treatment, newborn screening, VUS, clinical trials, and more for metabolic disorders.
While each meeting is taking place on different days, there is a joint session day to bring together topics related to both clinical and metabolic specialties. The ACMG/SIMD joint session will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center on March 18, 2023.

About Dawn Laney, MS, CGC, CCRC
Dawn is a leader in the fields of genetics and education as well as a certified genetic counselor with over 20 years of experience. In 2016, she was formally recognized as a leader in the field of rare genetic diseases by the National Organization for Rare Disorders. Dawn’s academic roles include Assistant Professor of Human Genetics, Director of the Genetic Clinical Trials Center, and Program Leader of the Lysosomal Storage Disease Center (LSDC) Program at Emory University School of Medicine. About Jessica Dronen, MS, LCGC
As a certified genetic counselor, Jessica has worked with both pediatric and adult patients in a variety of areas. Currently, Jessica works with the ThinkGenetic development staff and external genetic counselors to create the algorithms necessary to find patients at risk for genetic diseases. She is also a part of the advocacy and education team providing resources and guidance to the ThinkGenetic community and its Advocacy Alliance members.
